In T -2 seconds on Friday, the Falcon 9 rocket aborted the launch according to the team, it was the second time in a row in just two days. The rocket is carrying onboard valuable cargo, GPS satellite of the US forces. CEO Elon Musk said that unexpected pressure rise in the turbomachinery gas generator caused the scrub. The Thursday abort of the Starlink mission was caused by unexpected ground sensor reading of the Falcon rocket.
SpaceX has had several successes in not just launching rockets but also landing the boosters that are the expensive part to build of the rocket. Major delays and scrubs for the company have been due to bad weather. This raised the attention of the CEO, Elon Musk, he posted a tweet saying he will be visiting the sites in Florida.
A lot of Musk’s attention has been on the Starship, the next-generation rocket for the company, located at Boca Chica, Texas. You could wonder why he wants to visit and why, the answer is that not only is Elon Musk founder and CEO of SpaceX, he is also chief engineer and designer of the rockets at SpaceX.
THE VISIT
As the CEO, Musk Has goals, which some of them are doubling the number of launches this year, such delays would affect the goal. “we’re doing a broad review of the launch site, propulsion, structures, avionics, range & regulatory constraints this weekend,” Musk tweeted. “I will also be at Cape to review the hardware in person.”
we are hoping that this visit will bring success to the launches that have been put on hold especially the Starlink mission which have been scrub twice, once for bad weather and the other for technical issues.
