Twitter has confirmed the rolling out of the edit button on tweets. After a very long wait, there’s now a possibility of it becoming a reality. The feature is in testing mode and it’s only being rolled out to Twitter Blue subscribers only this month. The USA to follow later but unclear when it will be a worldwide release.
In a blog post Twitter released yesterday, the edit feature will be available only for 30 minutes after the post has been published. It’s sort of a win, but don’t get your hopes up yet. However, Other users will be able to see the tweet has been edited and can access its history. How about that? Share your thoughts down below on how you feel about this update.
We are hoping this update sticks, but it will all depend on feedback from us users. Twitter is home to millions of users. Having users like Elon Musk who’s got millions of followers makes one typo in a tweet can be life-changing. Moreover, we’ve seen some tweets affect the stock markets too. So I think it’s time we have an edit button and not have an option to see the history, that’s my honest opinion.
