Marvel and DC are two of the biggest comic book publishers in the world. They both have a huge following of fans, who are passionate about their favorite characters. They’ve gone on to produce successful movies and TV shows based on their comics over the years.
In the world of movies, there is always something new and exciting on the horizon. Here are some of the latest movies that are upcoming in the world of DC Comics and Marvel.
DC Comics
Shazam! Fury Of The Gods (Premieres March 17th, 2023)
Billy Batson, the superhero known as Shazam, recently attempted to kill his nemesis Mister Mind. However, he failed due to his childish personality and got too hammered in the process. As a result, he has retired from being a superhero and is now living a normal life.
However, a new villain has recently appeared, and Billy Batson has decided to return to being Shazam in order to stop him.
Blue Beetle (Premieres August 18th, 2023)
Blue Beetle is a fun, action-packed book that will appeal to fans of superheroes and science fiction. The original Blue Beetle was created by Charles Nicholas Wojtkoski. Its a story of Jaime Reyes, a Mexican-American teenager who finds a mysterious robotic scarab that fuses with his spine and gives him the ability to summon a powerful suit of armor.
Though this may seem like a blessing, Jaime quickly discovers that the beetle has a mind of its own and is sometimes able to control him instead of the other way around.

NOTE: An official trailer let alone a teaser clip for the film are yet to be released, although filming wrapped up in July.
Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom (Premieres December 25th, 2023)
ItsΒ based on aΒ DC Comic of the same name. The film is directed byΒ James WanΒ from a screenplay written byΒ David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. It is intended to be the sequel to 2018’sΒ Aquaman with Jason Momoa reprising his role as King of the ancient Kingdom at the bottom of the sea Atlantis.
When an ancient power is unleashed, Aquaman must forge an uneasy alliance with an unlikely ally to protect Atlantis, and the world, from irreversible devastation.

Post-production remains ongoing at the time of writing, but crucialΒ Aquaman & The Lost KingdomΒ news and details are beginning to slip through the net thanks to cast, crew, and other official sources. There is no official trailer yet but I’ll keep you posted when that happens.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (Premieres November 11th, 2022)
Marvel’s Black Panther was one of the most popular and successful movies of 2018. The film is being directed by Ryan Coogler. It was praised by audiences and critics alike, and it went on to become one of the highest-grossing non-Avengers films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Sadly, actor Chadwick Boseman passed away in August 2020, forcing the studio to quickly change plans for the sequel. Marvel Studios released the first trailer following its presentation at San Diego Comic Con. Still, many details about the movie are being kept under wraps.
Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania (Premieres February 17th, 2023)
Directed by Peyton Reed, it’s intended to be the sequel to Ant-Man (2015) and Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) Super Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and The Wasp.
Together, with Hopeβs parents, Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm. Where they interact with new creatures.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 3 (Premieres May 5th, 2023)
A sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), the film is written and directed by James Gunn. It hasnβt actually been quite that long since Marvel fans saw Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and his team.
They appeared in 2018βs Avengers: Infinity War and 2019βs Avengers: Endgame, where they helped defeat Thanos, and they made a cameo in Thor: Love and Thunder, which came out in July 2022.
The Marvels (Premieres July 28th, 2023)
The film is directed by Nia DaCosta. It’s sequel to Captain Marvel (2019). The film is directed from a screenplay by Megan McDonnell. Teyonah Parris reprises her role as Monica Rambeau, with Lashana Lynch playing daughter, Maria Rambeau in present-day appearances.
Samuel L. Jackson is also back as Nick Fury. Franchise newcomer Zawe Ashton will play the filmβs villain.
